“WARRIORS WIN USSSA WORLD SERIES”
The 92 Warriors continued their winning
ways in California. On June 24 the team defeated California Showtime 7-6
in the final of the tournament held at Big League Dreams in West Covina
California. The team finished with a record of 8 wins, 1 loss.
This was a total team effort and every
player contributed mightily to this enormous victory. For the parents
that went with the team, you were treated to some of the best ball that
this group of girls has played. For those of you that did not attend,
you would have been proud!
Girls, Thanks for the memorable week.
Over the past 4 years the Edmonton Warriors have had the privilege of
assisting some very dedicated students athletes in realizing their dream
of playing softball while gaining an education. As well, we have had
many players attend the University of Calgary, University of Alberta,
King's College and S.A.I.T. on sports and academic scholarships.
We would like to congratulate the following Edmonton Warriors:
Nicole Miller - Indian River State College - Florida
Sarah Thomas - Troy University - Alabama
Steph Thomas - Univ of Minnesota
Emilee Pittman - Iowa Western
Nicole Luchanski - Oregan State
Sarah Hawryluk - Western Nebraska
Blaire Taylor - Seward Kansas
Taylor McDougall - Seward Kansas
